Oxford High School's KAY (Kansas Association of Youth) organization is hosting an event for Oxford Elementary students and their V.I.P. adult on Saturday, April 20th from 3 pm to 5 pm in the OHS Commons. Come enjoy a great time!

NOTICE- Softball/Baseball games at Dexter have been moved up to a 3 pm. start time.

The Oxford KAY (Kansas Association for Youth) Club completed its major community service project this Friday with the installation of an Oxford Community Blessing Box. The box, located in front of the Lion's Club Pavilion, aims to provide support and resources to those facing food insecurity and other challenges within our community. Throughout the year, the KAY club plans to restock the box every month, and community members are encouraged to take what they need or leave what goods they can as a collaborative pantry. The concept of the Community Blessing Box is simple: take what you need, give what you can. Stocked with non-perishable food items, personal care products, and other essentials, the box fosters a sense of connection and compassion within our community. It's a simple but impactful way to support each other in times of need. Whether you're in a position to donate items or in need of some essentials, our Blessing Box is here for you. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors and build a stronger, more resilient community for all. The installation of the Community Blessing Box is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the OHS KAY Club, the OHS Woods class, and the City of Oxford. The Regional Solo and Ensemble Music Festival was held today. Jason Mercer earned a 1 rating (the top score) for his solo. Abreyan, Cecily, Adam, and Mary each received 2 ratings. Congratulations to all the musicians.

Mrs. Moberly and Mrs. Yoder's 1st grade classes constructed kites. Today, was the perfect day for flying them! Their 5th-grade reading buddies joined the 1st-graders to launch the kites. It was contagious to listen to the joy and giggles of the children.

Today, Oxford Jr Sr. High students had a college and career day. 7th and 8th grades visited WSU Innovation campus and the Museum of World Treasures. 9th grade went to Newman University and WSU while 10th and 11th grade went to Cargill and Foley.

Oxford High School hosted the SCBL League Forensics Tournament today. Flinthills took 1st, Oxford placed 2nd. Thank you to OHS Forensics coaches Katlyn Avritt and Billy Hatfield, as well as, all the volunteers and workers who made today a success.

NOTICE- The OHS baseball and softball games scheduled for Monday, April 8th have been moved to Burden and will start at 4:30 pm.

Oxford Elementary Kindergarten Round-Up ( pre-enrollment) will be held Tuesday, April 23rd, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Elementary School. Please call the office to schedule an appointment (620-455-2422). All children who will be kindergarten age, even those that currently attend Oxford PK, are highly encouraged to attend the event- this is kindergarten pre-enrollment! Your appointment will be approximately 30 minutes in duration. Staff will complete a Kindergarten screener with students while parents will complete the Ages and Stages questionnaire. Children who will be 5 years old by August 31, 2024, are eligible to attend Kindergarten classes. Please bring immunization records, health assessment (well-child physical), and birth certificate, if you. have them. (These documents are required for enrollment.)
